For some reason I woke up a little disturbed. You know how you have a situation with someone where all you both can do is agree to disagree? Unfortunately, that does not stop you from still being pissed off about it. It's true that somethings we just don't have the power to do on our own. There are two way streets in friendships and relationships. I have been dealing with the fact that for going on 2 months now, I have been still making someone a priority when it comes to my thoughts, when I am painfully aware of the fact that I'm an option in their thoughts. I have always been a late reactor when it comes to my emotions. Some shit can go down and I'll be as calm as the sea, a week later I'm mad as hell, loll. I don't know why it takes things so long to phase me, if they phase me at all. I just have learned my lesson with jumping to conclusion and getting mad over ridiculous shit, so I just remain calm and peep the scene before I decide to show any emotion.
I pray every morning, and I ask God for patience, but sometimes Him and I just don't see eye to eye on this whole time thing. I try not to question His timing, but of course as a human I want things done right then and there. It hardly ever happens that way, but oddly enough, it happens at the right time. On the drive to work this morning, I tried to escape my angry thoughts to no prevail. I have no doubt in my mind that today will be a good day. I took a flex day off from Comcast tonight; which I think was a good idea for more reasons than one.
So today I shall avoid confrontation and try not to go off on anyone, loll. Even though I did shed a few tears this morning, I'm smiling. I'm jamming my Chrisette Michelle and I'm going to try to get through this huge pile of CRAP on my desk. If anyone does happen to come at me out the side of their neck today, I'll just roll with the punches.

"The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes, but in having new eyes, in seeing the universe with the eyes of another, of hundreds of others, in seeing the hundreds of universes that each of them sees."
- Marcel Proust
I've voiced many times on how much of a people person I am NOT, but how I love the study of people. I find humans to be very interesting, because there are so many different characters, personalities, and cultures out there to explore. Each person has their own perspective on life and things in life. That is intriguing within itself. Take the blog world for instance; I will sit and read so many blogs throughout my day and some of them happen to be on the same topics, but the opinions and perspectives are different. Each person may learn a different lesson with the same situation. That peaks my interest.
When I see art; I sit and I think about how I view it and what that particular piece brings forth out of me, but also what others may be seeing when they look at it. This goes with poetry, and music as well. The human brain is amazing and it is so powerful. Sometimes I look at newborn babies and I wonder what their personality will be like. What will they believe in? I wonder what their first thoughts were when they opened their eyes in this big scary world. Unfortunately my memory does not go back that far, loll.
It would be so dull to just look at things from one perspective. Explore. Looking at things from how other's may look at them has helped me to become more understanding and has helped me to be more patient. This voyage of discovery has been great thus far. There are so many more things in my life that will be introduced to me and so many people whose perception I will borrow to help me understand them. Something I surely look forward to.
Sometimes I let the things in my everyday life swallow me whole. I get lost in other people's problems as well as my own problems. I get so caught up that I forget to recognize my possible blessings in life. When I take those mental vacations, it is there that I become more clear, wise and mature in my thinking. Such deliberate, intense and uninterrupted thought brought clarity to the perception I held of myself and my life.
It's funny how people pick up on positive vibes. I go on my mental vacations; returning rejuvenated with my maturity level at an all time high and I subconsciously give people around me permission to do the same. They recognize the changes within me. All of my days are not peaceful nonetheless, but the more older I become the less and less I worry about those irrelevant things. I've mastered the task of letting go. Something so simple, but yet so difficult. Thank you Lord for giving me the power and determination to do so. I let Him do his job with no complaints. He's better at it anyway, loll.
Solitude at times has to be forced when the road gets rough, and that is okay. Do not fight it; sit down and think. Let your mind kick into overdrive and become trapped into the realms you've never explored before. It'll be well worth it, trust me.
I may have to take a trip back to the park this month. Maybe a couple of times, to just sit at my favorite bench and let the rejuvenation begin.
